The Oakland Athletics activated first baseman Daric Barton from the 15-day disabled list.
Barton, expected to see ample amount of starting time, was limited to just seven games during spring training because of a right shoulder strain.
The club designated Brandon Allen for assignment to make room for Barton, who had a four-game rehab assignment in Triple-A.
