A year ago today, David Pauley was a member of the Seattle Mariners bullpen.  One could argue he was a key member having posted a 2.15 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in just over 54 innings of work for the M's that season.  That had to be a pretty good feeling considering that he had just turned 28, wasn't much of a prospect, having topped out as the #26 prospect in the Boston organization...

The Toronto Blue Jays designated David Pauley for assignment according to according to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet. Pauley, 29, pitched 6.1 innings with the Blue Jays this season and had a 9.95 ERA, 1.4 HR/6, 2.8 BB/9 and 2.8 SO/9. He began the season with the Angels and pitched 10.1 innings with them.
