An Arizona Diamondbacks fan leaned over a railing with his glove to make a nice snag a line drive foul ball during Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Your browser does not support iframes. It happened in the top of the fourth inning as Giants second baseman Emmanuel Burriss hit a line drive foul down the first base side. Burriss ended up grounding out to the...

Update on bogus Brian Burres-to-Giants rumor
by Troy Nelson, 22gigantes.com
Many of you have asked me to provide an update on my post from a couple of days ago, when I wrote about how skeptical I was about the supposed report that pitcher Brian Burres had been signed to a minor league contract by the Giants.

Confused? Me too.
So, I went to the supposed source, Kristy Robinson, a Pittsburgh Pirates beat reporter for Ohio Valley Athletics. She’s a self-proclaimed “rookie” in the business, and I wanted to make sure she didn’t confuse Emmanuel Burriss (the Giants infielder...
