Greg Holland placed on 15-day disabled list with left rib stress reaction
One day after his latest in-game implosion, 2nd year reliever Greg Holland has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with "left rib stress reaction."
At 0-2 with a blown save and a 11.37 ERA and a blown save in seven appearances, I cannot say I am sad to see Holland get some time off, in fact, this entire bullpen can take some time off, for all I'm concerned....

Bullpen Root of Royals’ Woes Once Again
The Kansas City Royals have lost once again, taking the losing streak to 8 games.
Again on Friday, the Royals found themselves with a 2-1 lead going into the 8th inning, until, once again, the bullpen failed to deliver a solid performance.
Greg Holland entered the top of the 8th inning and proceeded to walk two, give up three hits and allow three runs, all earned.
The best...

Greg Holland: KC’s Closer of the Future
On the heels of news that Joakim Soria will need Tommy John surgery, the Royals’ bullpen is a state of flux. Luckily, unlike most bullpens around the majors, the Royals have excellent options to fill the role. Jonathan Broxton may be the frontrunner for the job, given his history as a stud with the Dodgers. But the closer of the future is already in the Royals’ bullpen...

Holland quietly gets job done in Royals' bullpen

Holland Expects To Lead Improved Pen
Minus the venerable veteran Joakim Soria, the Kansas City Royals bullpen had to have felt about like a college pitching staff last season. The primary contributors ranged in age from 21 to 25.
Whether by choice or by default, the Royals stocked their bullpen with rookies and rolled the dice last season. The results were mixed, but the experience gained gives KC much to be excited...
