Nationals, C Flores reach agreement

The Washington Nationals have signed catcher Jesus Flores to a one-year deal worth $815,000. The two sides avoided arbitration with the deal, which was announced Monday. Flores missed the 2010 campaign following surgery on a torn labrum in his shoulder, suffered when a foul ball struck him. The 27-year-old batted .209 with a homer and two RBIs in 86 at-bats last season.
