Joaquin Benoit set to rejoin Padres bullpen

Whether or not Joaquin Benoit reclaims the closers role with the Padres to finish out the season remains to be seen. The veteran relief pitcher is again nearing a return from a balky shoulder and should be put back into a role at the back end of the Padres bullpen. In 50 games this season Benoit has 9 saves and 16 holds while posting a 1.58 ERA and a 0.82 WHIP.
