Former Mets pitcher John Maine wants to pitch in 2012, his agent Rex Gary said, according to the Daily News. Gary said Maine is healthy and eager to sign with a team.
Maine last pitched in Triple-A for the Rockies in 2011, where he was 1-3 with a 7.43 ERA in 11 games. In five season with the Mets, Maine was 39-32 with a 4.17 ERA in 97 games (96 starts).

Maine looking to make a comeback
Photo by Michael BaronNot proposing we bring him back, while I've always said I don't care who they bring in on a minor league deal. This is just an update, John Maine says he's healthy and is looking for a team next season. Maine only made nine starts for the Mets in 2010 and then 11 starts ( 7.43 ERA ) for the Rockies AAA team last season.
