Pirates' Jose Tabata tentatively scheduled for late-June rehab assignment
The Pittsburgh Pirates may have lost A.J. Burnett yesterday, but they hope to get one of their young, up and coming players back soon. Jose Tabata, who has been on the DL since May 27th, is working his way back slowly. He is progressing in his rehab and is tentatively scheduled to go on a minor league rehab assignment June 21st.

Along with the A.J. Burnett injury news today, here are some other rehab updates for the Pittsburgh Pirates, with their DL almost looking like an additional 25-man roster these days.

As the season rolls on, the injuries will mount. However, this year seems to be the year of the oblique injury. Just about every day there seems to be a new oblique injury, and yesterday was no exception. Jose Tabata was placed on the disabled list with an oblique strain.
