The Texas Rangers have recalled right-handed starter Josh Lindblom who will take Alexi Ogando‘s spot in the starting rotation. To make room for him, Texas has opted to designate right-handed pitcher Derek Lowe for assignment. He will have to clear waivers and accept an assignment for him to remain in the Rangers system.

Rangers DFA Lowe to make room for Lindblom
ARLINGTON, Texas Veteran Derek Lowe, who struggled this year for the Texas Rangers, was designated for assignment Monday to create room for Josh Lindblom.
