Fantasy Breakout By Position – Shortstop Josh Rutledge
One of the challenges when it comes to ranking players by position in fantasy baseball is trying to determine which player is going to have that breakout season and return a profit to your auction buy or draft pick. When reviewing the list of shortstops for the 2013 season, my pick to break out is Josh Rutledge of the Colorado Rockies

You’re not going to find many baseball prognosticators forecasting great things for the Colorado Rockies in 2013. But while the pitching staff looks to be a train wreck, the offense should give plenty of fantasy baseball value. As a person who follows the NL West closely, I got...
Josh Rutledge, 2013 Fantasy Sleeper
For whatever reason the Rockies never gave Eric Young Jr. a fair shot at an everyday playing job. I'm pouring out some of my forty-oh for EY. Okay, enough of that sob story. What is this a Lifetime movie? Sheesh! BTW, if I ever had a son, I'd name him Sheesh. Talk about the annoying looks he would get. "Sheesh, where are you?" "I'm on my way other...
Seven things the Rockies have discovered this season
Denver, CO. 47-73, and last place in the National League West. For anyone who has paid attention to the happenings down at Coors Field this year, the Colorado Rockies have not been good. Rutledge Productivity and Rockies’ Notes
Rookie Josh Rutledge continues to play better in the majors than he did at Double-A Tulsa this season, and he was pretty good there.
Rutledge beat up the Dodgers with four hits and three RBI last night and now has, ready for this – 17 extra-base hits and 18 RBI in 22 games. How’s that for productive? For a shortstop?
Rockies’ Notes
Anyone notice how the Rockies’ insisted...
