Tribe calls up Diaz, option McAlliset to Triple-A
CHICAGO (AP) -- The Cleveland Indians have called up shortstop Juan Diaz from Double-A Akron and optioned starting pitcher Zach McAllister to Triple-A Columbus.
The moves were announced before Friday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
Diaz was hitting .232 in 34 games for Akron. McAllister was 1-1 with a 3.96 ERA in four starts for the Indians.
