Angels' Kevin Jepsen ready to weigh in as potential setup man
Kevin Jepsen, a key reliever in 2009 but slowed by knee issues the last two years, appears sound after surgery, is back up to his original playing weight and hopes to regain his high-90s velocity.You can see it in the ease and comfort of his delivery, his explosive thrust toward the plate and the way the ball comes out of his hand. Jepsen throws encouraging bullpen session
It's early, but veteran reliever Kevin Jepsen has been turning some heads during his bullpen sessions. Owner Arte Moreno and general manager Jerry Dipoto liked what they saw on Tuesday, and Mike Scioscia spoke highly about how he looked on Wednesday.
