The Texas Rangers have claimed catcher Konrad Schmidt off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Texas Rangers added some catching depth by picking up catcher Konrad Schmidt on waivers from Arizona.
The Rangers added Schmidt to the major-league roster, giving the club 34 players on the 40-man roster.

The Diamondbacks recalled catcher Konrad Schmidt from Triple-A Reno and optioned left-handed pitcher Patrick Corbin to Reno.
