The Texas Rangers added some catching depth by picking up catcher Konrad Schmidt on waivers from Arizona.
The Rangers added Schmidt to the major-league roster, giving the club 34 players on the 40-man roster.

The Diamondbacks recalled catcher Konrad Schmidt from Triple-A Reno and optioned left-handed pitcher Patrick Corbin to Reno.
