Detroit Tigers Recall Luke Putkonen, Option Evan Reed
The Detroit Tigers have recalled right-handed reliever Luke Putkonen from their Triple-A Toledo minor league affiliate. To make room for Putkonen on the active roster, the Tigers have decided to option right-handed reliever Evan Reed to the same farm club. Look for Putkonen to pitch in the middle innings for the parent club.

Detroit Tigers Activate Phil Coke, Option Luke Putkonen
The Detroit Tigers have activated left-handed pitcher Phil Coke from the 15-day disabled list after having strained his left groin a few weeks back. To make room for him on the active roster Luke Putkonen was optioned to their Triple-A Toledo minor league affiliate. Coke resumes the role as lefty specialist and late inning relief man.

Detroit Tigers Recall Pitcher Luke Putkonen From Toledo
The Detroit Tigers have recalled right handed pitcher Luke Putkonen from their Triple-A Toledo farm club. Filling in at the middle-relief role on the parent club, he has pitched pretty well in just over 16 innings of work for the Mud Hens this season.

D’Arnaud Pulled After Getting Plunked Below Right Elbow
Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reported that Mets top catching prospect Travis d’Arnaud was removed from Friday’s game against the Detroit Tigers in the middle of the fifth inning after he was plunked below the right elbow by righthander Luke Putkonen.
D’Arnaud stayed in the game, but was pulled after the inside of his right forearm tightened up on him.
