Manchester, NH- This time last year, Mark Sobolewski was just another minor leaguer with eight home runs. One in a couple thousand.
But Wednesday night in Reading, Pa., “Sobo” was an All-Star. That night, he started at third base and batted fifth for the EAS East in the 2012 Eastern League All-Star Game.
After being drafted 129th overall in 2008, 24-year-old Mark Sobolewski has taken a step up to the next level of the Blue Jays’ minor league system with each passing season. Most recently, he spent his 2011 season with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats en route to an Eastern League Championship.
