Down On The Farm: Week Of April 8 – Van Slyke, Magill, Puig, Lee, Baez, Cash
Kind of a quiet week on the farm for the Dodgers affiliates. The Loons went 4-1, but the other three affiliates didn’t play .500 ball.
The pitching seemed to lack this week more than the offense, but there have been some impressive early-season performances thus far.

Dodgers sign Mark Lowe and move Chris Withrow, Pedro Baez to the 'pen
The Dodgers and Mark Lowe had basically been dancing around for a couple weeks and finally came to an agreement on Friday.
If Lowe makes the team as a non-roster invitee, he'll earn a $1.5 million base salary. With incentives, he could earn $2.1 million.
Lowe's 2012, despite a nice ERA (3.43), didn't really pitch all that well. His 4.32 FIP was on the high side...
Dodgers switch roles of Chris Withrow, Pedro Baez + invite 17 non-roster to camp
The Dodgers have officially converted former starting pitcher Chris Withrow to relief and former third baseman Pedro Baez to pitching.

Personally, I’ve seen both Withrow and Baez in those roles for a couple years now (maybe Baez for longer given his swing), and I think most evaluators began to agree within the last year, so it’s good to see the Dodgers follow suit.
