Nationals RHP Ryan Mattheus placed on DL with fractured hand

The Washington Nationals placed RHP Ryan Mattheus on the 15-day DL retroactive to May 20. Mattheus punched his locker in frustration after Sunday’s game against the San Diego Padres where he gave up five runs on four hits and two walks over a single inning.
In 14 appearances Mattheus had a .496 ERA.
No word on how long Mattheus will be out. The Nationals...
