Mets Sign RHP Scott Patterson

The Mets have announced that they have signed RHP Scott Patterson to a minor league contract. Patterson was 1-3 with a 2.89 ERA over 26 appearances in relief with Triple-A Tacoma in the Seattle organization this season. His last appearance in a game came on July 15. He will report to Triple-A Buffalo.

Mariners sign pair to Minor League deals

Catcher Guillermo Quiroz and right-handed reliever Scott Patterson have agreed to Minor League deals with Major League camp invitations with Seattle. Both have played previously in the Mariners' system, though Quiroz spent last season with the Padres' Triple-A club.
