Two minor leaguers suspended for drug violations
Two minor league players have been suspended for violating baseball's drug policy.
Former major league right-hander Steven Shell was suspended 50 games after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol. Last season, the 28-year-old pitched in Triple-A for Kansas City and Atlanta. Shell made 39 relief appearances for the Washington Nationals in 2008 and four in `09.
