Diamondbacks Pitcher Gets The Rare Double Butt Slap On Mound

Kirk Gibson and third baseman Martin Prado made sure that Will Harris knew that they appreciated his efforts on Friday night when the Diamondbacks took on the Braves. Arizona Diamondbacks Disable J.J. Putz, Recall Will Harris

The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed right-handed pitcher J.J. Putz on the 15-day disabled list due to a strain of his right elbow. Taking his place on the active roster is Will Harris whom the club recalled from their Triple-A Reno minor league affiliate. Expect Putz to miss more than the standard two-plus weeks. For the interim look for Heath Bell to take over the closers role...
