UFC president Dana White may have opened up a can of worms when he said fans’ interest could determine whether Jon Jones vs. Chael Sonnen (Pictured) comes to fruition. If Sonnen defeats Forrest Griffin at UFC 155, White fully expects MMA’s most lethal smack talker to put “Bones” on blast during his post-fight celebratory speech. That may be the case, but Uncle Chael isn’t wasting any time in launching his verbal assault. “”Deserve?” I don’t wait, I take. You’re not the BEST, you’re just NEXT. @jonnybones #fixurarmurgonnaneedit,” Sonnen tweeted the day after Jones defended his throne at UFC 152. He followed up Monday with a personal shot at Jones and his extracurricular activities. “Hey Jon, What do you think will cost more? Your hospital tab or the settlement you made with the two broads from the backseat? @jonnybones,” Sonnen asked. Sonnen is clearly referencing the right arm Jones nearly had snapped in half by Vitor Belfort on Saturday and when the 25-year-old was popped for a DWI after wrapping his Bentley around a telephone pole at 5AM with two females in his $190,000 car – neither of which were his fiancée and mother of his two young daughters. The two could have collided UFC 151 when Sonnen offered to serve as a last-minute substitute for injured Dan Henderson, but Jones declined the bout and forced the organization to cancel the September 1st event. Not only did Jones believe Sonnen didn’t deserved a shot at his throne, but he felt eight days’ notice wasn’t enough time to study for Chael P. Sonnen, who hasn’t fought in the 205-pound division in nearly seven years, owns a 5-3 record under the UFC’s watch. All of those contests took place at middleweight. The 35-year-old is fresh off a TKO loss to 185-pound champ Anderson Silva in the most anticipated rematch in MMA history. Jones was issued an indefinite medical suspension Tuesday for his arm injury, so he might be riding the pine for quite some time.

UFC star Chael Sonnen makes cameo in 'Always Sunny' spoof

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" returns for its eighth season on Oct. 11, and the irreverent comedy — which has never followed the rules of comedy or political correctness — has decided to switch up the entire cast if you believe the commercials running on the FX network. FX has released spoof commercials with new actors and actresses playing the arrogant...

Dana White Bashes Bellator’s Business Practices

Well, it took a few years, but UFC president Dana White (Pictured) has finally decided to badmouth Bellator Fighting Championships, his biggest stateside rival. While most competitors enter his crosshairs rather quickly, Bellator has managed to fly under White’s radar since hitting the mixed martial arts scene in 2008. However, it appears the fine print in Bellator’s fighter...

It’s Always Chael In Philadelphia

Chael Sonnen might have had a few setbacks with Anderson Silva…and testosterone, but Sonnen finally gets his big Hollywood (parody) break in “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” Anything with Xzibit and Chael Sonnen would be pure gold. -Schotz Credit to @TylerCWAG for bringing this to my attention

Gracies Analyze Jon Jones and Vitor Belfort Submissions at UFC 152 (Video)

The best part of having a spectacular submission cap off a night of mixed martial arts action is knowing Ryron and Rener Gracie will soon be releasing a video explaining to us layman exactly how the tap out was executed.  Grappling fans are in for a special treat following UFC 152, because not only were there two significant submission attempts in Saturday’s featured attraction...

Former Marine Shannon Ihrke Is America’s Next Great MMA Ring Girl

Here’s what we know about MMA Ring Girl Shannon Ihrke: she’s a former Marine Corps member. Yes, like in fatigues and all. Sure, she had a desk job, but it takes all kinds to keep the machine running. Now out of the Corps, Shannon is busy modeling and carrying cage fighting cards. There will come a day when Dana White needs to replace Arianny and Brittney Palmer. Um, Dana, here’s...

Stefan Struve Not Interested in Working Overtime for UFC

In February, UFC president Dana White proclaimed all Octagon main events would begin to be of the five round variety – regardless if there was a championship belt on the line or not. Stefan Struve (Pictured) will be headlining his first show since the rule change when he battles Stipe Miocic in Nottingham. While it’s possible Struve’s workload could increase by 40 percent on...
