Fight Hub TV:
It’s TRT Wednesday over here at Fighthub supposedly, first Vitor Belfort clears the air now Chael Sonnen is taking us back a few years to finally set straight his supposedly “elevated” testosterone at UFC 117, when he came within a minute of defeating Anderson Silva.
In this interview with Bleacher Report, Chael basically says he took tesosterone to get an edge, which is technically 100% true. Of course he did, would he take it to slow him down? The real newsworthy quote here is the fact that it was his paperwork, that was incomplete, being the problem, not anything having to do with elevated testosterone.
“It’s a legal substance versus a banned substance. Don’t say performance enhancing, that’s what this is, we don’t take things to bring us down,” Sonnen stated. ”That’s called malpractice in this country. All medication is meant to enhance us in America.
“I took testosterone that was perfectly legal, and I did not have elevated levels. I wasn’t even accused of that.

The good news for Alexander Gustafsson (pictured), he finally landed the title shot he has been clamoring for. The bad news for “The Mauler,” the Gambling Gods expect reigning light heavyweight king Jon Jones to maul him at UFC 165. Although their scrap was just announced yesterday, it didn’t take long for the powers that be to come up with a betting line. Jones is an early...
UFC 151 is the story that just won’t seem to go away. The infamous show fell through when Jon Jones refused to fight Chael Sonnen on short notice. Most criticized Jones but a new revelation by the American Gangster may change some opinions.
The illustrious Chael Sonnen (27-13-1) has again used his sly tongue, keen self marketing, and deep fan base to book himself another landmark fight. He will face the legendary Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (21-7) at "UFC on FOX Sports 1 1: Shogun vs. Sonnen", which takes place August 17th at Boston's TD Garden.
Sonnen had campaigned for the matchup when it was...
Chael Sonnen made a huge admission over the weekend that should change the way fans view the disastrous UFC 151 fight card. You may recall that UFC 151 was supposed to be headlined by Jon Jones vs. Dan Henderson on Sept. 1, 2012. Henderson pulled out of the fight because of a knee injury, and [...]
If Chael Sonnen taking on Jon Jones away from Dan Henderson in a weird conspiracy that Hendo was involved in… I don’t even know. I really don’t. I have a feeling we shouldn’t be reading too much into this one-off comment by Chael Sonnen, in which he implicates Hendo and himself in the grandest of conspiracies and time-wasters, but for the sake of discussion, OK, here it is...
After his UFC 159 win over Chael Sonnen, Jon Jones’ next title challenge was unclear. Alexander Gustafson was near the top of the list, but was supposed to fight Gegard Mousasi in April. That win, would have made him the most likley number one contender, but unfortunately he suffered a cut that would keep him out of that fight. However, with a lack of top contenders in the division...
UFC light heavyweight Chael Sonnen (pictured) took his talents to “Jim Rome on Showtime” this week, and Chael P. did what Chael P. does best – talk trash.
Sonnen called reigning NBA MVP LeBron James a “dork” and future NFL Hall of Famer Ray Lewis a “nerd.” Uncle Chael also said if he saw them he’d “smack them both in the face on principle.”
Back to his day job...
The TRT discussion is a tough one. No one really has all the information, everyone is quick to make declarative statements. As Luke Rockhold said, TRT did not help Vitor land that head kick shown above, but you have to believe it helped the 36-year-old train better, harder and longer. Therein lies the gray area.
Most fans and pundits of the sport are bashing Vitor and his TRT usage...
Chael Sonnen is a bad man. He has gone toe to toe with some of the toughest men in the world; he hasn't always won, but he survived. In my book when you can do that you have to be pretty dang tough.
So when the man talks--I'm going to listen.
Recently when making an appearance on The Jim Rome Show he went off on a little tangent about LeBron James that while PG was...
