Cung Le UFC Face

What a difference several hours and a visit to the doctor can make. Although Cung Le left the Octagon with a bloodied and battered face on Saturday night at UFC 139, where his nose appeared to go in several different directions, the former Strikeforce middleweight champ posted a picture of his face Sunday morning and it seems his mug has mended nicely.

“Here is a picture of my face you wanted to see. I felt great till I got caught,” Le tweeted.

Despite rocking Wanderlei Silva early and often, Le wasn’t able to finish off the Brazilian and ended up eating several bombs that cost him a win in his big league debut. When the dust settled on their 185-pound showdown, “The Axe Murderer” would up leaving the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California with a 2ndRound knockout victory.

While some felt the stoppage could have been a tad premature, UFC president Dana White professed at the post-fight press conference that Le’s jacked up grill warranted the conclusion of their shootout.

Le did not attend the presser, however Silva did and was all smiles.

Le stuck with his trademark kicks, wobbling Silva with a kick and then a spinning backfist. He threw plenty of 360 kicks, but Silva still came in when he could...

UFC Fighter Cung Le Had His Nose Smashed Saturday Night

Cung Le is way too old to be getting his face smashed in like he had happen Saturday night by Wanderlei Silva in Le’s adopted home of San Jose, California. At 39, Le is on the last legs of a fighting career and his nose might not be able to take much more of a pounding than it was given by Silva at UFC 139. Says Le of his fight: “I fought my heart out and I Just want to say...

Fabulous Faces of UFC 139 (Pictures)

Apparently Cung Le had a pretty bad time at UFC 139.  He posted this picture of his face and commented "The back of my head hurts more than my face. The Ref needs to watch the strikes to the back of the head more." Le fought Wanderlei Silva and lost via TKO in round two. The main event offered even more blood when Dan Henderson beat Mauricio Shogun Rua in a five...
