When Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino (pictured) signed with Invicta FC in February, company president Shannon Knapp promised if Cyborg was victorious in her promotional debut she would advance to face Marloes Coenen to become Invicta’s inaugural featherweight champion.
Well, after annihilating Fiona Muxlow this past Saturday, Cyborg will in fact fight for the 145-pound title at Invicta 6.
Cybrog and Coenen will rematch later this summer at a yet-to-be determined venue. According to the trusty rumor mill, the shootout will go down June 29.
Cyborg previously posted a TKO win over Coenen at “Strikeforce: Miami” in January 2010. Since that time, Cyborg has fought just three times.
The Brazilian was issued a year-long steroid suspension after meeting Hiroko Yamanaka in December 2011.
Coenen, meanwhile, has rattled off wins in four of her last five outings. “Rumina’s” lone blemish during her current run was a costly one. She was submitted by Miesha Tate for her Strikeforce bantamweight title in July 2011.
Invicta 6 will most likely be made available for live viewing via online pay-per-view.

Just over three years ago, "Rumina" went toe-to-toe with Cristiane Santos Justino at Strikeforce: "Miami," losing by way of third-round technical knockout (TKO). As luck would have it, "Cyborg" followed her to the Invicta FC promotion and they'll hook 'em up for a second time this...
Cris Cyborb vs Marloes Coenen will meet for the second time at Invicta 6 for the title. I’m excited for this fight but really only one women’s fight to make, and we all know what that is.

Marloes Coenen vs. Cristiane Santos (For inaugural Invicta featherweight title)
To say this was a lopsided fight would be a huge understatement. Cyborg completely destroyed Fiona Muxlow, who probably should not have been in there with her in the first place. Cyborg is expected to rematch Marloes Coenen at Invicta’s next event and the bout should determine the organizations first ever featherweight champion. The better Cyborg looks the more people are...
