TUF week, blog week? Out of nowhere comes a new video blog from UFC President Dana White to clear up come questions about the new season of The Ultimate Fighter. TUF Live premiered last Friday with a special episode which featured 16 live fights that were just one 5 minute round. The aspiring fighters had one 5 minute opportunity to earn their way onto the show. Whether it was a coincidence or not many of the fights were decided by knockout or submission.

Dana clarifies that TUF will return to the format that we have come to know over the previous years. The “reality” aspect of the show remains as you will see what as taken place over the last few days leading up to the live fight on Friday night. At that point Jon Anik will be on-hand to lead the viewer into the fight with the background details but don’t expect Rogan or Goldie doing commentary.

TUF Live airs on the FX channel on Friday nights at 10:00pm ET.

The video blog also takes a look behind the scenes at UFC 144 in Japan and UFC on FX 2 from Australia. The highlight of this segment features Dana dealing with the scoring error in the Demetrious Johnson, Ian McCall flyweight bout which was incorrectly reported as a victory for Johnson when it was actually a majority draw.
