Although “UFC on FUEL TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier” is currently popping off inside Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, UFC president Dana White (Pictured) is clear across the country set to undergo surgery. While it’s nothing compared to Cal Ripken Jr.’s impressive streak, White did have a nice run going prior to Tuesday’s no-show.

“First fight I will miss in 11 years and it is killing me,” White tweeted. “I have to have surgery in L.A. tomorrow or trust me I would be [in Virginia].”

White revealed he will go under the knife for Meniere’s disease. According to MayoClinic.com, “Meniere’s disease is a disorder of the inner ear that causes spontaneous episodes of vertigo — a sensation of a spinning motion — along with fluctuating hearing loss, ringing in the ear (tinnitus), and sometimes a feeling of fullness or pressure in your ear.”

Approximately 50,000 to 100,000 people develop Meniere’s disease each year, mostly affecting those between 40 to 50 years of age.

“I’m hoping to be in and out quick,” White added. “I have no time for this (expletive), but it has to be done.”

Since White is on the west coast, also known as the BEST coast, perhaps he’ll make a cameo at Saturday’s Strikeforce show in San Jose, California. Maybe, but don’t hold your breath since he’s still bitter Showtime turned a deaf ear (no pun intended) to his suggestions on improving their live events.
