What’s better than beating one Diaz brother? Well, taking down both of them, of course. Moments after ending his 11-month Octagon hiatus to take a highly controversial split decision win over Takanori Gomi on Saturday at UFC on FUEL TV 8, Diego Sanchez (pictured) publicly requested his next tango. “The fight I want is Nate Diaz,” Sanchez told FUEL TV’s post-fight show of his desired opponent. “I want to be the first one to say I beat both the Diaz brothers. I got the big brother on my résumé already, so now I want the little brother. “Our styles make for an awesome, awesome fight.” Unfortunately for “The Dream,” Diaz’s dance card is full at the moment. The former lightweight top contender is slated to meet Strikeforce transfer Josh Thomson at UFC on FOX 7. However, it’s possible Sanchez can still get his wish following the April 20 bout. Sanchez posted a unanimous decision victory over Nick Diaz back in November of 2005 at “The Ultimate Fighter 2 Finale.”

Diego Sanchez Wants Nate Diaz Next

Diego Sanchez looked completely unimpressive last night and lost all three rounds to Gomi IMO.  Actually, in most people’s opinion.  Not sure what the judges were scoring for him, but he was pretty much controlled and dominated for all three rounds.  Now, he wants a shot a Nate Diaz, so he can say he beat both Diaz brothers.  Hopefully, the judging will be better and Diego...

Diego Sanchez Misses Weight for UFC on FUEL TV 8 Fight with Takanori Gomi
