The series of shots that put down the previously undefeated Tyron Woodley last night made Nate Marquardt a champion for the first time since his Pancrase days. What really impressed me though was the way Nate walked away from his opponent after the final uppercut that did Woodley in. You really can't say enough about the lethal gamesmanship of the fiery competitor that is Nate "The Great". Not only is it great to see him back in action for the first time in almost a year and a half, it's nice to see that he gets a belt for his troubles.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this may just be the most dangerous welterweight in the sport today. Hopefully we can get him some worthy competition. Nate Marquardt may be the name that saves Strikeforce. If you're a UFC fighter without a shot at Condit or St. Pierre why wouldn't you want to test your skills against a man who may be more dangerous than both?
