A clash of Brazilian heavyweights Gabriel “Napao” Gonzaga and Geronimo “Mondragon” Dos Santos has been added to UFC 153. New of the match-up was orginingally reported by Brazilian site Tatame.com.

UFC 153 takes place on October 13th from the HSBC Arena, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will defend his title against Erik **** in the main event of the fight card.

Gonzaga (13-6) enjoyed a successful return to the UFC when he recorded a first round submission win over Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC 142 in January. He holds a 8-5 record inside the octagon with all wins coming by stoppage. He is best known for his highlight reel head-kick knockout of Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic at UFC 70.

The experienced Dos Santos (31-14) will enter his UFC debut on a ten fight winning streak with only one of those wins going to a decision. He has stopped 29 of his opponents with 20 wins coming by knockout and 9 via submission. In his most recent bout at Max Fight 13 in May, Dos Santos needed just 50 seconds to knockout Eduardo Maiorino.
