Our Friends at Intravid.com breakdown Saturday nights co-main event fight between Carlos Condit and Johny Hendricks.
There are pros and cons when considering the type of match up that Saturday’s co-main event represents. Carlos Condit vs. Johnny Hendricks is an outstanding contest in the welterweight division that has huge title implications. However, this is also a risky fight for the UFC. We have seen this exact type of fight get scheduled before: the perennial number one contender to the title goes against the guy who most recently challenged for the title. In some ways it is the perfect formula for setting up a future championship fight, but this is only if the potential contender comes out on top. If Hendricks is able to defeat Condit, then his long-awaited title shot will be an even bigger deal than it was before. Not only will his future title bid garner more hype and attention, but fans will probably view Hendricks as a legitimate threat to the 170 lb throne. The risk...

Comparing someone to a more dangerous Dan Henderson is like duct-taping an A-Bomb to another A-Bomb then dropping it on your target. Or I guess in this case it would like be tying two H-Bombs together, whatever works. As the sport we love moves into it’s second decade of existence, we are only now tapping into the potential of MMA’s talent. Take Johny Hendricks, a young, NCAA...
You didn't expect this one to go smoothly did you?
The grueling media rounds are over for welterweight kingpin Georges St. Pierre and his arch-nemesis Nick Diaz. Now it's time to decide who is the better mixed martial artist, in 5 rounds or less. So what will the result be? Another dominant GSP decision with some Diaz s**t talk, head smacks and middle fingers peppered in? Or will we see the underdog force the UFC's golden...

Georges St-Pierre probably didn't give Nick Diaz the worst beating he's ever seen as promised.
But it was still a victory -- and an overwhelming one at that -- as St-Pierre defended the welterweight title he's held since 2008 with a unanimous decision (50-45 on all three cards) at UFC 158 early Sunday morning.
"He did a great job promoting the fight," St-Pierre...
If Nick is going to miss one thing this week the open workout is for sure the best. Thanks to Middle Easy for the video and Intravid for the find.
