With the UFC filling out their fight cards at breakneck speeds to close out the year, former welterweight top contender Josh Koscheck (Pictured) finds himself on the outside of the Octagon looking in as 2012 winds to a close.
However, just because the 34-year-old only managed to get inside the cage twice this year, it doesn’t mean Koscheck hasn’t arranged an extensive hit list for 2013.
“Doesn’t look like #UFC has a fight 4me until [2013]. So ill just train & get better,” Koscheck tweeted. “But I’d like to fight Nick D, [Demian Maia], Jake E, Roy M any of those guys will do it.
“They kno ill fight any1.I even said I’d fight at 185 if needed.”
In requesting tangos with top-tier contenders like Diaz, Maia, Ellenberger, Rory MacDonald, it’s clear Kos wants to make one final run at the 170-pound crown before calling it a career.
Koscheck was last seen dropping a controversial split decision defeat to Johny Hendricks at “UFC on FOX 3.” All but two of his 23 professional fights took place under the UFC’s watch.
