The bad news for Junior dos Santos (Pictured), he won’t be granted an immediate rematch against heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez. The good news for dos Santos, he finally gets to fight that “punk” Alistair Overeem. This week’s edition of FUEL TV’s UFC Tonight announced the 265-pounders will co-headline UFC 160 on May 25th. The bitter rivals were expected to collide at UFC 146, but Overeem was forced out of the shootout after registering more than twice the legal limit of testosterone in his system. He was issued a nine-month ban and was knocked out by Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in his return at UFC 156. Overeem and then-champ dos Santos exchanged plenty of verbal jabs during “The Demolition Man’s” suspension. Overeem accused the Brazilian of being scared to face him, while “Cigano” thought the kickboxer was nothing more than a cheating punk trying to remain in the headlines. Dos Santos watched his 10-fight winning streak come to an abrupt halt at UFC 155. The slugger was mauled by Velasquez in their highly-anticipated sequel. The 28-year-old requested an immediate rematch, but it appears the UFC is heading in a different direction. Overeem appeared to be cruising to a victory earlier this month until Bigfoot turned up the heat in the third round. Before anyone realized the rally they were witnessing, Overeem was unconscious on the canvas. MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the festivities. Velasquez puts his heavyweight hardware on the line against “Bigfoot” in the show’s featured attraction.
