Every once in a while, in between a plethora of posters designed on the UFC's excruciatingly similar yawn worthy templates, you get a gem of a poster like this one. Like the UFC 165: Jones vs. Gustafsson work of art before it, the poster for St. Pierre vs. Hendricks features the two main event fighters with a tag line that concentrates on the challenger. "The Power To Shock the World" That power of course would be the big left hand of one Johny 'Big Rigg' Hendricks. With 3 KOTN performances, each coming inside of the 1st round, Hendricks certainly has a "punchers chance" against the dominant St. Pierre when the two do the dance on November 16th inside of the MGM Grand. Just ask Jon Fitch. He hasn't been the same since. Or ask Martin Kampmann. He's taken plenty of punches from the top 170 lb'ers in the game yet he just couldn't handle that left handed dandy from good ole Johny. With the speed and the distance Hendricks can cover, plus the looming threat of a shot from the Division I All-American, you may just have the perfect recipe to defeat St. Pierre. For years we've been teased with the prospect of a Silva vs. St. Pierre super fight inside of Jerry's house. Maybe the real super fight is still a couple of years away and doesn't involve Silva or St. Pierre at all. Like Chris Weidman before him, Johny Hendricks certainly does have the power to shock the world.
