British lightweight Ross Pearson looked impressive on Saturday night, knocking out Ryan Couture in the second round of their co-main event bout. What is even more impressive is that he appeared to do this with a significant foot injury that he has sustained while warming up before the fight. After initially announcing in the post-fight interview that he believed he had broken his foot, it appears that it is not a break.  Pearson tweeted the news and posted a picture of the swelling:

The good news for Ross Pearson, the left foot he injured minutes before taking center stage at UFC on FUEL TV 9 isn’t broken after all. The bad news for “The Real Deal,” his foot looks like it belongs on Professor Klump’s leg. After rallying to post a vicious TKO victory over Ryan Couture on Saturday, Pearson revealed he hurt his foot in the locker room during warmups. The...

Ross Pearson broke his foot moments before fighting Ryan Couture, but still pulled off the impressive win.

Imagine what kind of night it would’ve been if lightweight Ross Pearson decided that he couldn’t go on to fight Ryan Couture after breaking his foot warming up. First Gustaffson, now this? UFC on FUEL TV 9 will go down as the card featuring the walking wounded. Ultimately he had nothing for Mousasi, who jabbed his way into bloodying the face...
