Dana confirmed this week that the GOAT Anderson Silva will face the number one contender Chris Weidman and the promotion is shooting for July 6th. The deal is not yet done but Dana says he will get it done. Weidman is the only contender that makes sense right now and he is a legitimate threat to Silva’s title. Weidman is coming off serious shoulder surgery which forced him out of a fight in December. Weidman is a great wrestler who is picking up MMA at an incredible pace. Anderson is wise to face Weidman now because he is only going to get better.
