This is a big welterweight fight and landing on the same card as Jake Ellenberger vs Rory MacDonald.  Both Saffiedine and Lawler looked great in their last performances, which were big upsets, with Tarec beating Nate Marquardt and Lawler TKOing Josh Koscheck.  Saffiedine ended as the Strikeforce welterweight champion but is still relatively unknown by UFC fans so putting him on FOX is a great way to get his name out there.  The winner of this fight will be looking at a big fight next, possibly a number one contender fight if they can win impressively.  Now we just need to wait and see who the UFC will match Damian Maia with and we will have a much clearer picture of where the welterweight division could be headed.
