1. Cain Velasquez

Cain on blood - " It doesn't bother me... it doesn't bother me at all, you know, the smell... it was just a lot slipperier. You just gotta be aware of that. "

Cain Velasquez was not very nice to Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva this past Saturday night. The term crimson mask is typically used when a fighter is left with his face bloodied up by his opponent, forming a mask around his eyes and mouth. Velasquez dressed Silva in a crimson body suit.

After an easy take down due Silva throwing is leg out for Velasquez to catch early it was just a ground and pounding all over the face of the Bigfoot from there on out. Welcome the UFC big guy. According to fightmetric it ended with Velasquez winning the striking war 14-1, with all of those strikes coming from a close distance. It was a short elbow that opened Silva up - from then on it was just that killer instinct that earned Cain another shot at the title which was formerly his.

When the cage doors close, Cain is an ice cold killer. They say no one trains harder in the game today, no one has a better gas tank. He just wasn't himself back on November 12th. Lets see how a healthy Velasquez deals with Dos Santos later this year. I can guarantee this fight will not have the same outcome as the last.

2. Dan Hardy

Dan Hardy needed a win to save his job on Saturday night. Putting a hole in Duane Ludwig's face and knocking him out did just that.

3. Jamie Varner

Varner was a +400 dog heading into his fight against the undefeated Edson Barboza at UFC 146. Varner was making his UFC comeback, on short notice nonetheless. Barboza, well, he was coming off what many folks are still calling the KO of the year back at UFC 142 against Terry Etim. Barboza was a monster in Varner's mind leading up to the fight, no he's just another victim on his resume.
