The Venue at Horseshoe Casino was the setting for what may go down as the most violent mixed martial arts moment of 2012. Pat Curran stripped the self proclaimed "Baddest Man on the Planet" Joe Warren of his Bellator Featherweight title, and he may have even taken what was left of his soul in the process.

Pat "Paddy Mike" Curran utilized his full arsenal of weaponary to brutalize what my or may not have been an even conscious standing Joe Warren. Folks, this is an early favorite for beatdown and late stoppage of the year honors.

What do we learn from this moment in violence?

1. If Joe Warren and Pat Curran reside on the same planet Warren isn't the baddest man on it.

2. Curran is going to be a threat at Featherweight for a long time with finishes like this one, and his TKO over the more dangerous Marlon Sandro last August. I'm not going to say he could touch Aldo but in a shallow UFC 145 pool he'd be the top guy to challenge him today.

3. It's nice to have Bellator back.
