The Jon Jones vs. Rashad Evans battle is finally here as UFC 145 takes place tonight April 21 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon 'Bones' Jones will defend his title against Rashad Evans in Saturday's main event.
Jones is the favorite in the fight, some oddsmakers even have Jones as a 6-to-1 favorite. The fight should be a close battle.
Jones has a five inch height advantage and a 10 inch reach over Evans. But Evans Says he doesn't think the 6'4" Jones knows how to use that advantage.
"He gives away his height a lot with his stance. In MMA, you do want to give away your height to an extent, but he does it a lot. He doesn't fight long and rangy. Lets remember Jones lands 52% of his strikes, impossible to take down and doesn't take many shots.
Evans though has been an underrated fighter for much of his career despite beating Chuck Liddell, Quinton Jackson and Tito Ortiz.
Jon Jones used his reach advantage to take a unanimous decision over former teammate Rashad Evans on Saturday night and retain his UFC 145 world light heavyweight championship.
Jones (16-1), whose 84.5-inch reach was the longest in UFC history, was ahead 49-46, 49-46 and 50-45 on the judges' cards after the fiver-round fight at Philips Arena.
