UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva

Brazil’s loss is Nevada’s gain. After watching the highly-anticiapted rematch between middleweight king Anderson Silva (Pictured) and Chael Sonnen get yanked right out from underneath them and relocated to Las Vegas, UFC 148 has now emerged as one of the most star-studded lineups in Octagon history.

The trilogy between bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber was originally scheduled to headline the festivities, but the 135-pounders will now serve as the card’s co-featured contest.

Additionally, a middleweight shootout between former champ Rich Franklin and Cung Le, a 185-pound bout with Michael Bisping and Tim Boetsch, as well as Tito Ortiz’s final UFC fight when he meets Forrest Griffin will appear in the show.

Demian Maia, Dong Hyun Kim and Renan Barao are also scheduled to perform on July 7th.

MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the extravaganza.

As if that’s not enough to get you to spend Fourth of July weekend on The Strip, the UFC Fan Expo will be popping off across the street at Mandalay Bay Events Center on July 6th-7th.

Here is UFC 148′s blockbuster roster:

Gleison Tibau vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov

Riki Fukuda vs. Constantinos Philippou

Melvin Guillard vs. Fabricio Camoes

Renan Barao vs. Ivan Menjivar

Demian Maia vs. Dong Hyun Kim
