Brazil’s Werdum had the perfect run to the UFC heavyweight title in 2015, winning five-straight fights and the interim championship before tapping out undisputed champ Cain Velasquez in Mexico City.
The Global Fight League has lost another marquee name after a former UFC champion declared his withdrawal. GFL has now announced their initial run of events with the first and second cards set to take place at the Shrine in Los Angeles on May 24 and 25.
