Roy Nelson reminds the world that he would punch his grandma in the face for the right price.
Despite four knockout of the night awards in his three years in the UFC, his massive fan following and general popularity among the average fans, Roy Nelson doesn’t believe he’ll be getting a title shot, believing politics dictate title shots. It may be remarks like the former that are keeping Roy from getting a title shot, or it could be his somewhat shaky relationship...

News: Stipe Miocic Now Meets Roy Nelson at UFC 161, Palelei Put on Standby
The UFC 161 card continues to undergo main card shuffling, this time not due to the dreaded injury bug. The UFC has announced that they have removed Soa Palelei from his UFC debut against Stipe Miocic in favour of a Nelson/Miocic match-up on the card.

Roy Nelson approved by NSAC to fight at UFC 160 if necessary
Questions arose regarding the UFC 160 co-main event last week, as Mark Hunt had Visa issues while at the airport. Hunt stepped in for the injured Alistair Overeem in the co-main event at UFC 160 to face the former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos. When the Visa issues first came to fruition the name many people were throwing out as a replacement was Roy Nelson and it just...
The resurrection of Roy Nelson
When Roy Nelson steps into the octagon, you notice his unique look. From his belly, beard and ponytail, he’s not your typical clean-cut heavyweight. Similar to many people, I’ve been very critical of Roy Nelson in the past about his conditioning and dedication to this sport.
It was sad to see someone with such a powerful right overhand punch, great Jiu-Jitsu skills, and arguably...
Roy Nelson Possible Sub for Mark Hunt at UFC 160
During Tuesday’s UFC 160 conference call, company officials weren’t prepared to share who Plan B was if Mark Hunt’s visa issues prevent him from entering the U.S. to fight Junior dos Santos on May 25.
Fast forward several hours and FUEL TV’s “UFC Tonight” has just let the cat out of the bag. According to reporter Ariel Helwani, the UFC has approached Roy Nelson (pictured...
What's next for Roy Nelson after UFC 159?
Big Country keeps on keeping on!
Their may be no greater anomaly in MMA than Roy "Big Country" Nelson. Competing in a sport of super athletes and a division of rangy muscle-bound killers Nelson looks somewhat out of place. To the untrained eye he is just some fat guy with a mullet trying to compete with guys who are much stronger, taller and better than him. Compete though...
Nelson, Miller and Healy Win Fight Bonuses at UFC 159
After a night of decent MMA action, UFC President Dana White awarded Roy Nelson (pictured) and Jim Miller each an additional $65,000 for their special performances Saturday night at “UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen.” Pat Healy double dipped and took home $130,000 in bonuses.
Nelson took home “Knockout of the Night” honors with a vicious overhand right on Cheick Kongo in the opening...
