23XI Racing announces Air Force will sponsor Bubba Wallace in 2024
? David Yeazell-USA TODAY Sports

Bubba Wallace and 23XI Racing have added a familiar face to their sponsorship lineup for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series campaign.

On Tuesday, the organization announced that the United States Air Force will adorn Wallace’s car for a couple of races this coming season. It serves as a reunion for Wallace and the military branch, as the wheelman was previously sponsored by the Air Force when he was racing Richard Petty’s No. 43 machine.

“23XI Racing announced Tuesday that the United States Air Force will be a primary sponsor for the No. 23 Toyota team and driver Bubba Wallace for multiple races in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series,” a press release read.

“The partnership marks a reunion for the military branch and Wallace, who carried USAF sponsorship for eight Cup Series races from 2018-20 while racing for team owner Richard Petty. The sponsorship also produced a tandem skydive for Wallace on the eve of the Daytona 500 four years ago, when the driver leapt from a C-17 Globemaster with the USAF Wings of Blue parachute team into the speedway grounds.”

Wallace couldn’t be happier with the move, releasing a statement on how special it is to join forced with the USAF once again, this time at 23XI Racing.

“It’s really special to once again be partnered with the men and women who make up the United States Air Force,” Wallace said in a team release. “My previous experience with the folks from the Air Force was awesome and I had the chance to meet a lot of great airmen who do some amazing things each and every day.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming them to 23XI and showing them what we’re all about as we work together to try and accomplish the impossible.”

Wallace made the playoffs in 2023, but will be looking for even more success in 2024. He was never able to capture a checkered flag, but he’ll hope that changes when he takes the track next season.

Additionally, 23XI team president Steve Lauletta added a statement on the matter, elaborating on how the Air Force and 23XI Racing will work together for the betterment of Wallace’s season.

“The Air Force and 23XI recognize that teamwork is the most critical component in achieving success,” Lauletta added. “We look forward to moving forward together to achieve our collective goals both on the track and in the broader community.”

Bubba Wallace is adding the Air Force to his already impressive list of sponsors once again. We’ll see if he can get them to Victory Lane in 2024.
