HOW BADLY DO YOU WANT A WIN AT AUTO CLUB? “We’ve had some really strong runs at Auto Club Speedway over the last few years, lots of top-fives, but we can’t seem to break through to go to Victory Lane. Maybe the switch over to Ford and the Roush-Yates power will be just what we need. More than anywhere else you need a big motor at Auto Club.”
HOW COOL IS IT TO SEE YOUR TEAMMATE SITTING ATOP THE STANDINGS? “It’s a great thing for everyone at Penske Racing to have Sam leading the points in the Nationwide Series. Sam is a good racecar driver. Greg is a good crew chief. They make a formidable combination and I think they will be strong throughout the year.”

WHAT IS YOUR WEEKEND OUTLOOK FOR AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY? “Everyone on the America’s Tire Ford Mustang team is excited to get to Auto Club Speedway this weekend. We feel like we let one get away from us the last time we were on an intermediate track, which was Las Vegas earlier in the month. Our package for these tracks proved to be strong so I feel like we can get our first win of the season on Saturday.”

NASCAR is generally recognized to have a sharply conservative fan base, but even that crowd is now drawing the ire of the Wesboro Baptist Church — the small, Texas-based organization known for its radically socially conservative views.
While the Westboro Baptists Church, run by Fred Phelps and comprised mostly of members of his extended family, commonly protests events for a number...
Brad Keselowski on top again as series moves on to Auto Club Speedway…
SUPER START: Brad Keselowski is the only NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver to start the season with four top-five finishes in the first four races. The last driver to start the year with five-consecutive top-five finishes also drove the “Blue Deuce.” Rusty Wallace accomplished the feat in 1998.
POINTS LEADER: Thanks to his consistent start to the season, Keselowski has taken command...
You all know the old saying, "What a difference a year makes."
Well, that sure applies to Kasey Kahne and that No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports team. If you go back to the beginning of Kasey's 2012 season, I believe when we left Bristol, he was something like 32nd in points.
It was safe to say that his 2012 season had been pretty bleak to that point. He and his team did...
No Time To Rest For Streaking Keselowski
And you thought Brad Keselowski’s championship year was stellar. He’s wasted no time fashioning a follow-up season that has the potential to be even better.
Four races down, the reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion has assumed the standings lead. He heads Dale Earnhardt Jr. by nine points entering Sunday’s Auto Club 400 at Auto...
The only way the NASCAR season could have gone better for Penske racing is if Brad Keselowski or Joey Logano had won the season opening Daytona 500.
Other than that, it’s been a dream start to the 2013 campaign in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series.
Going into this weekends races at Auto Club Speedway, a Penske driver is on top of the points standings...
