Several big names throughout motorsports, including several from NASCAR, made the trek to Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Wednesday to participate in the Prelude to the Dream charity race to benefit Feed the Children.
In his sixth try in the yearly event, Kyle Busch made his way to victory lane.
“This is cool,” Busch said. “This is what it’s all about when you go dirt racing. It’s a lot of fun.”
NASCAR drivers dominated the 40-lap dirt track event, with Kasey Kahne leading the first 12 laps before giving up the lead to Clint Bowyer. Kahne retook the lead on lap 22, only to loose it to Busch on lap 25 after getting caught up in a crash with Bobby Labonte.
“When Kahne had his mishap, we inherited the lead and just were able to set sail from there,” Busch said. “I felt like Kahne had a fast car tonight. He was probably the class of the field.”
