Carl Edwards led 93 laps, started from the pole, and won the November 2010 edition of the AdvoCare 500 from the Phoenix Intentional Raceway. He will look for his second win in 16 career starts at the track with Chad Norris on the pit box and Fastenal on his #99 Ford Fusion. Team:  No. 99 Fastenal Ford Fusion Crew Chief:   Chad Norris Chassis: RK-811    Last ran Bristol in August, finished 22nd POINTS…Carl Edwards enters Phoenix 15th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup point standings with three top fives, 13 top 10s and one pole.  He will make his 300th Cup start on Sunday at Phoenix. FOR THE RECORD… In 16 starts at the one-mile track, Edwards has one win, six top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. His average start is 11.7 and average finish is 12.6.  Edwards has completed 94.3 percent of laps in Cup competition attempted at Phoenix. IN THE LOOP… According to NASCAR’s Loop Statistics compiled over the last 16 races at Phoenix, Edwards has turned 284 of the track’s fastest laps (second most), spent 3282 laps in the top 15, and has led 228 laps.  He has a driver rating of 99.7 (third best). ON THE TRACK… The No. 99 Blue Team will unload RK-811 at Phoenix. This car last raced at Bristol (22nd), but also ran Kentucky (20th) in June and Charlotte (9th) in May.  REWIND, PHOENIX, NOVEMBER 2011… After a quick two-tire stop on lap 291, Edwards was back in second place once the field cycled through the pits.  With only 12 laps remaining, he tried to chase down Kasey Kahne for the win.  Although he was gaining ground, there was not enough time left to get close enough to make the pass. Carl Edwards on racing at Phoenix: “I’m looking forward to going to Phoenix.  We have to have a fast car and we need to run well.  The long run is going to be the true test.  I feel like if we are pretty decent on the long run, we will have a chance to compete for the win.  We still need to have a good pit stall and we’ve got to have a fast race car.  Our team goal is to get our Fastenal Ford into victory lane before the end of the year.”  Crew chief Chad Norris on racing at Phoenix:  “Phoenix is a good track for Carl and the 99 team.  He always likes racing there and we’re going to try to give him a fast race car for the weekend.  He would have had a better finish in the spring but ran out of fuel in the final laps to finish 17th.  We’d sure like to end the season strong like we did in 2010 so we’ll do our best for sure.”
