For this weekend’s race, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will use the canvas of his No. 88 Chevrolet Impala to debut the 2013 National Guard paint scheme. Earnhardt helped design the blue-and-white look that will adorn the soon-to-be unveiled 2013 Chevrolet SS. The new Chevrolet model will be revealed on Nov. 29 during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Week in Las Vegas.
ONE TO GO: With one race remaining in the Sprint Cup season, the driver of the No. 88 National Guard/Diet Mountain Dew Chevrolet ranks 12th in the standings on the strength of one win, one pole position, 10 top-five finishes and 19 top-10s.
AT HOMESTEAD: In 12 Sprint Cup starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Earnhardt has led 93 laps and recorded three top-15 finishes and five top-20s. He scored his best finish — 11th — at Homestead in the 2011 season finale.
