Danica Patrick had a very solid performance, especially for a rookie, at Martinsville Speedway Sunday. She finished 12th in the STP Gas Booster 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race Sunday. It was the second-best finish for Danica Patrick in her 16-race Sprint Cup career. Danica finished eighth in the season-opening Daytona 500. “Having never been at Martinsville before, I didn’t know what to expect,” Danica Patrick said. “All I knew was that it was going to be a little bit crazy. It was good day for GoDaddy and obviously the Hendrick engines were very strong today. I felt like I made a lot of passes. I feel like I just passed all day. But I’m sure a lot of people do that on a short track. It was a nice day for us.
