Trace Atkins will co-host the 2013 American Country Awards with NASCAR driver Danica Patrick. Patrick, who is competing in his first season at the Sprint Cup level, will join Atkins for the fourth annual American Country Awards show which will take place Dec. 10 airing on FOX. “I have no doubt (Adkins) will be able to keep up with me,” Patrick said in a statement to The Tennessean. “I’ve become a huge fan of country music since I came to NASCAR … This is going to be a really cool experience and I’m excited to be a part of it.” GRIP: Danica shows off her strength on Jay Leno Show This will not be Danica’s first brush with country music. She appeared in a music video for Miranda Lambert’s “Fastest Girl in Town” last year. Danica has run all 27 Sprint Cup Series races this season scoring her only top ten (8th) in the season opening Daytona 500. On Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway the 31-year-old Patrick finished 20th.
