getty images NASCAR does not plan to take any action against Darrell Wallace Jr. after he slapped Chad Frewaldt following a crash in Thursday night’s Camping World Truck Series practice session. While Wallace is running his first season in the truck series, Frewaldt was hoping to make his first start at Phoenix International Raceway. Wallace won at Martinsville last month becoming the first African-American to win a NASCAR national series race since Wendell Scott won in 1963. Frewaldt clipped the left rear of Wallace’s truck after being passed. Wallace was sent spinning into the wall. Once stopped Wallace exited his truck and confronted Frewalt reaching in and striking him. Robin Pemberton, NASCAR vice president of competition, said that officials met with both drivers after the incident but did not believe any penalties would follow.
